Scott McKenzie

Scott McKenzie (Philip Blondheim) is een Amerikaanse zanger. Na een korte tijd bij folkgroep The Journeymen gaat hij solo. Met John Philips, lid van de Mamas and the Papas, schrijft hij 'San Fransico'. Deze ultieme flower-power hit ("be sure to wear flowers in your hair") uit 1967, is het liedje waarmee hij bekend wordt.

Het is daarmee helaas ook zijn enige succes als solo-artiest. In de jaren '80 produceert en schrijft hij wel met succes: zo schrijft hij mee aan de Beach Boys hit 'Kokomo'.
